Nobody can predict the future and although it is part of a cycle, the gateway of the new year causes us to think about the year ahead. How might our faith enable us to make it the best year yet? Guest speaker: Rev Roberto Rosso of the Comunione Unitariana Italiana in Milan.

Christmas Services and Winter Festivals – thank you to the helpers!
The Flower Group, with many helpers decorated the Chapel to celebrate Christmas, Yule and all midwinter festivals. Our carol service on the 18th Dec featured the Chapel Choir and the Christmas Eve service was full with standing room only! Thank you to the floral decorators, festive stewards, mulled wine elves, pagan goddesses and fabulous musicians for making our festival season a success.  

8th January: Please help us take down the decorations
We will be taking the decorations down after the service next week (8th). All helping hands welcome, no skills required! 

Monthly Good Cause
Our Sunday collection basket will be divided with ‘Amnesty International’.

Open your mind with opportunities to learn in 2017
Rosslyn Hill Chapel will be offering a number of new programmes and regular groups in 2017, from poetry and discussion groups to personal and spiritual development. With monthly Monday groups and a weekly Tuesday night programme, there’s something for everyone…1st Monday: Chapel Poetry Group at 7.30pm
This inspiring group meets to share favourite and original poetry. Next meeting 2nd January in Basement Cottage 3

2nd Monday: ‘Living with Integrity’ discussion group at 7.00pm
We are discussing chapters from a book on Unitarian values. The discussion in January will focus on the somewhat controversial chapter ‘Navigating relationships and sexuality’. Come along and share your reflections and reactions to this topic with Rev Kate Dean. Copies of the Living with Integrity book are available from the chapel. Next meeting 9th January in the Committee Room.

3rd Monday: ‘Heart and Soul’ at 7.00pm 
Join us for an alternative weeknight service, a gentle, informal and interactive mix of readings, meditation and sharing. We next meet on 16th January in the Chapel. 

4th Monday: Chapel Book Group at 7.000pm 
We’re reading’ Romantic Outlaw’s, the story of the proto-feminist Mary Wollstonecraft and her daughter author Mary Shelley.  Next meeting on 23rd January, come and discuss what to read next!

Soul Deep – spiritual development and discussions for the new year!
Rev Kate Dean will be leading a series of six Tuesday-night sessions focusing on a different aspect of spiritual life each week. We aim to go deeper and examine the inner faith that finds an outward expression in the way we live our lives. Please note the updated dates: We will meet on Tuesdays 17th, 24th Jan (NO MEETING on 31st January) and 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th February.
