Membership Service

We celebrate our community through welcoming new Chapel Members at this special ceremony including performances from the Chapel Choir! Following the service there will be a ‘Community Showcase’ of Chapel activities and a ‘Pot Luck Lunch’.

Our monthly ‘Pot Luck Lunch’ – serving home made soup, bread & cheese, followed by apple crumble, will be in the side aisle at 12.30pm. This is an informal, friendly occasions – all are welcome and the request is to bring some food to share or make a financial contribution (£3.00 minimum).We look forward to seeing you there. Please contact Ingrid Tavkar (email:ingridtavkar@gmail.com) if you are willing and able bring some food to share.

After the Membership Service, we will hold a Community Showcase so that you can learn more about all the different activities on offer and sign up to a few.

Join us for uplifting live piano music from John Evans and relaxing meditation with Rev Kate Dean.

Furniture available for a donation

There are a number of items which will be discarded from the manse, including a solid wood double bed frame and six leather covered dining chairs. As well as providing the opportunity for Unitarians from the District to meet together the Quarterly will have two workshops:
Follow Me: A chance to learn how to use Face book and Twitter to advertise and report on your congregation’s events. (Bring your smartphone).
New Emphases: A facilitated discussion about how Brexit might affect our Movement’s Next Steps.

Monday 26th September – Chapel Book Group at 7.00pm

We are going to re-establish the chapel‘s monthly book group. At our first meeting, we will discuss our favourite books with a spiritual theme before choosing which books to read in the coming months. First meeting: 26th September in Basement Cottage 2

Date for your diaries – Saturday 12th November ‘Induction Service’

We will be holding the induction service to welcome Rev Kate Dean as our minister on Sunday 12th November a 2.00pm. You are all welcome to come but you must reply so that we can plan delicious treats. Look out for your official invitation soon and don’t forget to RSVP.
