26th February at 11am: LGBT History Month
In the year that marks the 50th anniversary since the decriminalisation of homosexuality, this ensemble service will explore attitudes to sexuality within religious traditions and through personal reflections. A collaborative service with Rev Kate Dean, members and friends of the chapel.
 

26th February at 7pm: LIVE Music and Meditation
Join us for uplifting live piano music from John Evans and different forms of relaxing meditation with Rev Kate Dean guided meditation, walking meditation, chanting and body prayer.

AGM reports – a reminder for members!
Chapel members received an email on 22nd Feb explaining how to download the pack of reports from the committees, groups, minister and Chair of the Management Board. We encourage you to read these before the AGM, the relevant members will be available to answer any queries at the meeting. Note: please help us by printing your own copies, or bring them on electronic devices. Only a very few paper copies will be available on the day!

Fairtrade fortnight
This Monday marks the start of Fair Trade fortnight. We encourage you to learn more about this initiative through their website: http://www.fairtrade.org.uk/en/get-involved/current-campaigns/fairtrade-fortnight We hope to have a Fair Trade table sale on 12th March, which is also International Women’s Day when the choir will sing, so look out for that and pick up some fairly traded goodies!

Good Cause(s) of the Month: Unitarian youth charities
Our Sunday collection basket will be divided with ‘Send a Child to Hucklow’ Fund, and the ‘GA Youth Programme.’ Flowers

Upcoming EventsPot Luck Lunches this Sunday – The next ‘Pot Luck Lunch’ will be on Sunday 26th February in the side aisle at 12:30pm (after the morning service).  This is an informal, friendly occasions – all are welcome and the request is to bring some food to share or make a financial contribution (£3 minimum).  We look forward to seeing you there.

Chapel Book Group – meets on Monday 27th February at 7.00pm in the Chapel Committee Room. Bring a favourite book with you to discuss. In March we’ll discuss our current reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Soul Deep’ spiritual development  – meets on Tuesday 28th February at 7.00pm in the Chapel. This is our final session, on the theme of ‘blessings and boundaries’ so please contact Rev Kate Dean if you would like to join us: revkatedean@gmail.com

Rosslyn Hill Chapel Choir – rehearses each Wednesday at 7.30pm. New voices welcome, no audition required!

Choir fundraiser will be a ‘Transport of Delight’: Friday 3rd March at 7.00pm
Come and enjoy a home cooked meal, light-hearted entertainment and a chance for much audience participation in singing, bar, raffle.  This year’s theme is ‘Transport of Delight.’ Tickets are on sale each Sunday after services, or from choir members.Advance bookings only (to aid with catering), no tickets available on the door! Much of the proceeds will go towards the Piano and Organ fund to maintain our fine instruments.

Worship Studies – Last chance to sign up to this fantastic course!
If you have an inkling that you might like to contribute to a service or even lead one in the future, consider signing up to the new Worship Studies Course. We hope that chapel members will join us for this lively and valuable training which is right on the doorstep and starts next week! Just four Saturdays spread throughout the year, led by our own Rev Kate Dean and the District Minister Rev Martin Whitell. Group sessions will take place on Saturdays at the Chapel: 4th March, 15th July, 30th September and 2nd December. Course fee: £39 Any questions? Interfaith Passover – Thursday 6th April 6.45 for a 7pm start
The JW3 Centre volunteers have invited us to an Interfaith Passover: ‘Join us as we explore the impact of the 3,500 year old Exodus story and the rituals that Jewish people observe. At the mid-point of Fair Trade fortnight, and as we gather for our Annual General Meeting of chapel members, we will consider what it takes to create a fairer world. Our families, our communities and nations have a better chance of thriving when we treat each other with fairness and respect.
