‘A Palm Sunday Hosannah’
On this Palm Sunday in the Christian tradition, join us for a celebration of music to mark Jesus’ triumphant arrival in Jerusalem. The Chapel’s Choir will perform a selection from Mozart’s ‘Missa Brevis in D minor’ accompanied by a string ensemble.

Poetry and Music – The Romantic Spirit

Poetry readings by Shirley King from Keats, Shelley, Coleridge etc and music played by classical guitarist, Rose Andresier.

Food Bank – don’t forget your donations this week!
We continue to collect donations for the Food Bank. Non-perishable food, toiletries, and feminine hygiene products are all very welcome. Note: The collection is now located on the table at the back of the chapel.

Upcoming Events

Rosslyn Hill Chapel Choir – rehearses each Wednesday at 7.30pm. New voices welcome, no audition required!

Living with Integrity’ – this  group will not be meeting in April due to the GA Annual Meetings, which is attended by key members. The next meeting will take place on Monday 8th May when Derek McAuley will be speaking about ‘Engaging with Democracy’.

‘Heart and Soul’  week night service will not take place on Monday 17th April as it is the Easter Monday holiday. The next Heart on Soul will be on Monday 15th May at 7.00pm.

Chapel Book Group – meets on Monday 24th April at 7.00pm in the Committee Room. We invite people to bring a favourite book to share – and possibly lend – at the next meeting. Our book choice for May’s meeting: ‘Knowledge of Angels’ by Jill Paton Walsh

Sunday 7th May Tagore service with guest musicians
The morning service will celebrate the birth of Rabindranath Tagore, focusing on his Nobel Prize-winning poem Gitanjali which will be performed by the choir and musicians from the Brahmo Samaj liberal Hindu group. If it is good weather, we plan to walk to the Vale of Health, where a blue plaque marks the house where he stayed.

Sunday 4th June Anniversary Service at 6.30pm (note: special time)
Our annual Anniversary Service is held on the nearest Sunday to 5th June, the date of the first service in our current chapel building in 1862. We will honour our charity partners with a short service followed by a Wine Reception and an opportunity to make new connections!
