About the Event
This event will begin with a short workshop at 2pm exploring our connection to the trees in our lives. Drawing on the importance of the natural world in many world religions, earth-based spirituality and humanist philosophies as well as our own lived experience, we’ll use a simple ritual to tune in to the sacred place of trees in the world. We will then walk to Hampstead Heath nearby to spend about an hour appreciating significant trees, understand how to identify certain trees and find out about tree conservation work. We will conclude with hot drinks at the Heath Hands Nature Interpretation Centre.
You must register through the Urban Tree Festival website to take part. Suggested donation: £5 Please check for updates: www.urbantreefestival.org Picture: Jake Melara on Unsplash
